Runners?

Ok, so a couple of my strawberry plants have got runners on-now what? Do I just cut them off and put them in some compost?

Hi,

The tomatos and cucumbers are ok but do look a little poorly-gonna put them in growbags tomorrow (yes I know I should've already done that but been busy moving house!) I'll keep you posted!

Thanks guys I will nip to the garden centre this weekend. By the way Tigger, the tomatoes are especailly looking good :) any tips on the cucumbers? They're looking a bit poorly...

Strawberries?

Hi everyone,

Am I way too late to plant strawberries? Are they even on sale in garden centres anymore??? I've promised my nieces that they would have strawberries this year but with moving house I just aint had time. Any favourite varieties?

Thanks for all your tips, we took the greenhouse down on Sunday which was enjoyable even in the rain! Luckily it's still in rather big sections so shouldn't take too long to put back up again. However, I did slice my thumb open on some glass :roll:

Greenhouse!!!

Found a 6x8 greenhouse for sale in the local ads, collecting it tomorrow! So excited cus it's all coming together :D

When to harvest and how?

Hi everyone, newbie here again :)
I know this is rather general but how do you know when to harvest and how do you do it? Obviously things like runner beans, strawberries, it's noticable but what about carrots and potatoes etc, also lettuce.
