I agree with Jenny. The seeds are of very good quality, and seem to keep well, too, because I have had extremely good germination again from seeds kept over from last year. I, too, would recommend them.

I find it best to wait until the weeds start to grow in abundance - that gives me a very good indication that my soil is ready for seeds to germinate without them rotting off. Hi Helen, I read somewhere recently that they make an excellent mulch for strawberries, being on the slightly acidic side as far as soil pH is concerned, and have the added bonus of the prickly needles deterring slugs and snails.
