Re: How far behind are you?
I'd say I'm about 2 - 4 weeks behind both at home and at school, depending on the crop, although I've pretty much got everything in the ground now, it's still weeks behind when I'd be planting stuff out.

Oh my!!!! What an eyesore, no wonder they are protesting. These cruise ships are getting ridiculously big now and look stupidly top heavy - an accident waiting to happen and when it does ........

Lol, that's the thing with vegetable growing, you never have enough growing space and are always looking for ways and places to grow a few more varieties in

Re: Early summer bits and bobs
Well I plan to pot on the schools chilli plants today and then leave them in the polytunnel (been on a shelf in my house up to now), so that's my positive contribution

Re: Sowing and planting, Bits And Bobs.
I've got various lettuces and salad leaf in abundance at the moment - just need the weather to truly appreciate it all Potted on more beans today and repotted the Kohl Rabi which are beginning to swell. My parsnips are finally through, well some of them are, and broad beans are starting to form. Bee...

Re: Hello from west Wales
My first question - I really want a greenhouse (actually would prefer a poly tunnel but no room in 'our' garden) - funds fairly limited - what would you suggest is the best bet for a very windy site? You definitely need to speak to Ricard with an H - he's ever so friendly and knows all about greenh...

Re: Real spring bits and bobs
We see the Lancaster about 3 or 4 times a year on average. I think the Dakota came over a few months ago - I'm not good a aircraft recognition but the veteran aircraft have that distinctive, low drone and I'm fairly sure it wasn't the Lancaster. My hubby was quizzing me on the nose art etc because h...

My runners aren't looking too happy either. Never mind. Will sow some more today in the propagators to ensure a successful crop (I hope).
