Re: It's definitely autumn bits and bobs
How nice it is to actually be able to do some winter digging this year. Really enjoying it There's something about freshly dug earth that is very pleasing to the eye One of my plot neighbours was sorting out and re-planting his Marshmello strawberry plants last week. I asked him what was happening t...

Re: It's definitely autumn bits and bobs
It feels quite mild today after two nights of keen frost. I had a stroll round the garden to see whether there was anything still to harvest in the fruit line and found a lovely ripe fig in the greenhouse, two kiwi fruits on the plant outside, two Mara des Bois strawberries and a handful of autumn ...

Hi OH,
If it doesn't stop raining soon, the plot will float away. At least I can potter in the polytunnel

Re: Roaring weather and work to do...
We had heavy rain again here today. The plot looked a bit muddy yesterday, so I dread to think what it looks like today. Went to Folkestone in the rain this morning and tackled a walk that I haven't been able to do since last May. It finishes with a long uphill stretch which I managed with no proble...

Sorry about that, hope you are mending well, it'll stop you over doing it! These may or may not cheer you up. IMG_2955_RR.jpg IMG_2956_RR.jpg What a lovely view. Sunshine here now as well, but far too wet to do anything even if I could get to the allotment. I shall just rest up and think about what...

Quite a nice view from the ward as well. Strange listening to Big Ben all night http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo28/Naturalistslibrary/photo1-Copy.jpg Feeling pretty good today. Went for a 3 mile walk and cut the grass, so not doing too bad. I can't drive for a week, so that keeps me away from t...

Re: The Angina Files.
Hi all, Many, many thanks for all the good wishes Just got home this afternoon, as they did the procedure last evening. I'm now the proud owner of 3 stents, 2 of which are the new dis-solvable type. The op was transmitted live to the USA and watched by a panel of cardiologists from all over the worl...

Re: The Angina Files.
Morning all,
Thanks for the good wishes
I'm off to get the train shortly. Good job it wasn't yesterday I suppose.
Considering how little energy I've had these last few months, I've had a pretty good crop from most things.
Mind you, I've had a fair amount of help

The Angina Files.
Hi all, Not been on here for ages. Sorry about that Having been told that stents were not the answer to my blocked arteries because of the amount of blockage, I was sent for a chat ( after 6 weeks ) with a surgeon at St. Thomas's in London regarding a bypass operation. He informed me that I had too ...
