Well we have finally finished the pollytunnel, 5 days of hard work ,knee deep in sticky mud for most of the time,ten years ago it would have been up and finished in 2 days but arthritis and a dicky swinging brick takes its toll, this time next week ill be in warmer climates

What's going on, it's not raining ,it feels strange, managed to get most of the frame up for our new pollytunnel today still fighting the mud it's no fun

I go down the allotment each day to collect the eggs and clean the chicken shed out, since October I have had to put wellies on to get to the chicken shed ,the chickens are living in 6 inch deep mud and there is no way I can improve it believe me I've tried

I think I would hire a tractor and plough for a weekend, no matter how much you cover the soil in plastic you still have to dig it eventually, when we first got our plot at the time it was only half a plot I was 3 weeks of solid hard work turning over an area 10 feet square and it did not get any ea...

It seems all we have had for four months is rain and gales my plot has reverted back to a pond ,Leeks, carrots, and sprouts all rotting in the ground as did my parsnips I'm not a happy bunny

Thank you for the advice I've just ordered one from first tunnels 16 x 6 feet it's more expensive than it appears on their web site but I'm assured the price is right £390 on the web site when I try to put it in my basket to proceed to check out the price increases to £1700 and the size reduces to 8...

I found nemaslug a waste of time,we are over run with slugs down the allotment this year I'm going for beer traps we have used these in Spain with great success , in a few weeks our pond will be full of mating frogs and toads I'm thinking of catching a few and moving them down to the allotment
