Re: A view of my garden
Although far from summer like, planting and sowing is now gathering momentum
Onions and Brassicas in the first raised bed includes white cabbage, romanesc and broccoli
First carrots now showing, so some succesional planting now in hand, these are eskimo carrots

Re: MP Compost Thoughts & Faults
I have to say the quality of MPC has plummeted over the past couple of years, mouldy and full of bits of wood is how I would describe some of the stuff on offer these days. The free "soil improver" at our local council tip is better quality, made from the composted green waste from the bins.

Re: Starting a no-dig kitchen garden from scratch
Roots might be a problem, carrots and parsnips are grown in my raised beds that have a membrane at the bottom to keep out weeds and tree roots, the plants just bend if they hit the membrane and carry on growing. I now tend to grow stump rooted carrots.

Re: Blossom
My apples are not yet in bloom, but as I sprayed them this morning(suffer badly with scab) I can see there should be some decent quantity of flower in a week or so.

Re: Glorious Spring Bits and Bobs.
Just planted out a few peas and broad beans I'd started off in the greenhouse in root trainers, no sign of the seeds from the same packet that were sowed direct a few weeks ago.
