I'm with John, i always leave them to dry off if the sun for a couple of hours.
But on checking them this morning, i must admit there were a few blighted ones in there.

Dear WigBag, i don't use raised beds myself, but i know ridging potatoes up on normal ground certainly makes a difference. I would have thought planting potatoes that deep would make the harvesting of them a nightmare, you couldn't be off stabbing them, and as you know it would always be the biggest...

Dear Jenny, the pest control man advised the people whos hedge it was, that the wasps would move on in a couple of weeks, and in about ten days there were very few about.

He did say there was nothing he could do as they were not in one area.
