Seedless gripe.

Hello Mark, I too ordered (online)and received the mag. but not the seeds. I've done nothing about it but I was considering emailing Mr Ott. (SteveOtt(at)mortons.co.uk) I THINK that's the address. If I start making phone calls I'd end up with expensive seeds, such are my telephone arrangements. I th...

Re: Growing in a polytunnel

[ you name the crop and I'll tell you what happens if I know.[/quote] That's a generous offer.I've just acquired a Northern 21 x 42 in which I hope to do about 80% of my veg. growing. I've read everything I can get my hands on re. organic raised beds but, apart from the excellent book by the late Be...

Timber bed edgings.

I'm currently agonising over purchase of boards for raised deep beds. It might be of some use to give you prices I'm being quoted. Old scaffolding boards 9" x 2" : 24 @ 8'long 52 @ 4'long 28 @ 5'long All for £135 delivered from 15 miles (central Scotland). Same secondhand woodyard offers 7" x 2" x 1...

Instead of inviting us to use "General Chat", why not create a new meeting-place (ANOTHER forum!) with a name that identifies it properly, like "The Old Forum Reborn" (or something). When you opened it there'd be a heading in bold print: "This is the forum for those who dislike what they see as the ...

Death by a thousand forums.

I feel obliged to express complete agreement with Chris. My experience is identical. For me there's little pleasure in anything so needlessly complicated and time-consuming. It's like being in a maze. I've been thinking that because it seems that nobody's going to admit to having created a monster i...

Citadel polytunnels.

Hi Paul, I'd be more likely to turn IN at The Golden LION, to tell you the truth. Re. Northern's high- siders: I contacted their (most helpful ) rep. up here and he told me about them. Their website doesn't mention a high- side option... unless I missed it but I doubt that.Re. Citadel: Somebody, a l...

citadel polytunnels; message for paul r.

Hi Paul, I just got a 21x42 from Northern Polytunnels with straight sides up to I think it's 5 feet.( haven't got it up yet ). For some reason they don't seem to advertise these. I believe they're a good outfit- I know a number of professionals who use them on a big scale, and all swear by Northern....

The KG forum-zzz.

I've just posted a lot of stuff about a Utopian view of what the Forum should be like. I posted it in "News and Views" (or whatever), but I probably wouldn't have posted it at all (or not in those terms) had I read this thread first.Isn't it the point that the kind of things we're saying here could ...
