Re: Greenhouse anchoring?
Is it a traditional shape greenhouse with a V shaped roof? . Do you have a picture you can post Elmigo which might generate some other ideas? It's not exactly the same greenhouse but the one I bought looks very similar to this. Same construction too. I would be afraid of glass breaking if I had one...

Re: Greenhouse anchoring?
I think OH's word "diagonals" is the key. Tonight the storm is slowly building up! After all this has passed I'll be in a rush to build it for the coming cucumber, pepper and tomato season.

Greenhouse anchoring?
This year is my first time in a garden and we're building a greenhouse in it. It's not an expensive glass greenhouse, rather a cheaper one made of artificial glass. Very light weight! I'm waiting for a huge storm to pass this sunday before I start building it. How do you anchor your greenhouse and p...

Re: Crop rotation
Crop rotation is not for permanent plants, although they also use up elements in the ground. Everywhere I read about crop rotation it mentions four years. I can imagine that one year would be quite short for crops that have been growing there the whole crop season that counts maybe 6-7 months in som...

Re: Kiwano (horned melon)
Have you ever grown cucumbers or melons before? If so, you can treat them the same way except sowing a little earlier. Last year I was a little too early sowing them in february so their growth was a little bit slowed down, but they will survive for sure! I think I'll start them in one or two weeks ...

There is always someone who wants a little present. And there is always space, I thought my balcony was full a lot of times! You can't really sow too much, right?

Re: Pepper fanatic
Supermarkets here still sell some fruits and vegetables completely wrapped in plastic. It's not like the fruit has a peel to protect it from outside dangers The red and yellow bells are also sprouting now, together with the cayennes that appear to be a bit slower aswell... Red bell peppers Screensho...

Re: Onions from Seed
Normally I would wait with onion planting outside untill march at earliest, but in the polytunnel perhaps it could be done already. No experience with polytunnels here so I don't know the exact temperature differences.

Perhaps I'll try both to see what works best in this area! I really don't want to risk a whole year if it fails
