Hello acrylicspud, strawberries are hardy old plants, they are normally in beds in the open ground so they should be just fine in a strawberry pot.

Of course this is unless they have been forced and already covered in ripe strawberries. :)

Dear Compo, i'll have to give this some serious thought, if i did have a pin up on my wall, it would mean me taking down all the pictures of the lovely ladies on here first. :D

Morning, it sounds as if it could be some sort of fungal disease, maybe bought on by these very wet conditions we had.
Are they planted close together as this doesn't help, as the air doesn't get round them properly.

Alan i always get up early just incase i miss something. Weed no i don't have any of the clothing mentioned above, it would be a bit modern for my wardrobe. Thats the beauty of growing green manure, you can normally dig it how ever much wet weather we have had, as it does soak so much of the rain up.

Dear Primrose no i hadn't thought of that, and since it's a simple idea you would have thought it would have come to me straight away, me being of a simple nature. :D

I loved the story of your Mum and the cowpats. :)

Thankyou Primrose, i was hoping it was going to be a garden centre nearer to the Bedforshire border of Buckinghamshire.
