I find it unusual that you bought spring onions as plants they are something that you sow yourself generally, are you sure they're not leek plants? If they are spring onions then yes you just pull and eat with nothing left in the ground.

Very often these contractors will have their lists of what's to be done and when from the tender sheets and they don't seem to have the wit to use their own discretion on anything.I've seen blokes on quad bikes with weedkiller sprayer in hand spraying the kerb edges at exactly the moment the childre...

We often used to get them in the commercial houses and I've had one in my greenhouse this year. They probably are after moisture, try leaving a plant saucer with water in around where the toms are.

Hi Tigger, the most difficult thing I found was pulling up your knickers one handed! You could always leave them off I suppose.......

I have a climbing rose with a clematis growing through it and both are flowering away and looking healthy despite being in 'soil' which has set like concrete and has 2"wide cracks all over it.

I had a batch last year which didn't appear to have set,so I thought I would put it in jars anyway and use as a sauce but it had set in the jars by the next morning so it can be decieving.

I'm pretty certain it was from the local grower, Johnboy, but it was not sold for seed but for eating.I can't understand the difference between heads sold for cooking and those sold for growing, except of course, the price! They're sold I believe all over the country so keeping your eyes peeled in the ...
