That is very similar to my late Gran's recipie which is my all time fav chutney. I tend to help out pumpkin and squash to help control the number of fruits per plant. I simply remove a male flower and "introduce" it to a female flower or two to spread the pollen about.

I find the male flowers are at their best first thing in the morning.

The show last night was filmed on the first day, I was filmed twice yesterday, once buy a plant and once walking along the side of Long Water.

Just hope I am edited out of this eveings TV coverage!

I have never but normally grow Gypsy. Your variety may need different treatement.

What ever you do feed well and stake the plants as they will get heavy.

I take it that the the maroon plant in the back of the car is Potentilla Monarch's Velvet. A few years back it was flower of the year and on the nursery I simply could not keep up with orders. I forget how many were produced but it ran into the several thousands catagory. Yes, spot on. Nice looking...

Tescos........yuck!

Now dont you believe what those two are saying, they were grown by my fair hand!

They were started under heated glass back in February. Cherry toms ripen much quicker than larger types.
