I use a barrier cream at work which stops the crap embedding into my trotters in the first place and makes it really easy to get off oil and the like. In the garden however, I never bother and like Peter soak them in the bath afterwards (mainly to sooth the aching joints) and then use a really hard ...

Hi Lizzie, I do like John does and plant them in little modules (240 to a tray) and plant out when the module is full of root. I dont start them until the end of May or even June or you get nasty footballs. Cover with fleece when planted out as flea beatle love them and will chew holes all down the ...

Thanks Chantal. Actually I did have an Easter Egg last night. I gave Piglet an Egg, a tray for the lottie and The River Cottage Year book by Hugh Fearley-Whittingstall so he was a happy bunny - (I mean Piglet). I think I have had chocolate every night for the past 2 weeks, and yesterday when out wit...

Good Morning everyone, and a Happy Easter to you all. Right then - who mentioned cake? Well, here we are on day 14 and I must say my first thought is NOT a cigarette. You were right about the gum Tigger, even though I did chew it probably, I ended up with a very sore tongue and a massive ulcer just ...

The day just got better as it went on. The tunnel is now finished and all the tatties are now in the ground. We came home in brilliant sunshine, tired but very happy. We were on the plot for 10 hours and had a pan of snorkers for lunch and a cream cake for a mid morning treat. Unfortunately 4 days o...

Finished at last
We finally got the cover on our home made poly tunnel today and had perfect weather for it to boot.
Total cost £140 all in.
We are quite chuffed with the result. Now, to fill it?

Carole So sorry to hear about your little puppy's accident. How distressing for you both. Having his leg bandaged will slow him down a bit now so at least you will be able to keep your eye on him. Those pots really are nasty when they shatter like that. One of our neighbour's two 11 month-old kitten...
