My neighbour next door has all his front garden for veggies..looks great as well, apert from the local cats!!
He now has managed to get an allotment so he might change back to lawns and borders.

Thats called sharing ..like above ..thats fine to share with nature or do things the natural way ..and let some pigeons have some cabbage okay !!

No No No and No..only soapy water is required for the pests ..if we really care about our environment chemicals should not be used ..damage to soil structures and beneficial insects and organisms . Much better to loose a few seedlings , share some cabbage with some pigeons, companion plant and work ...

Just heard a story about someone that dug up daffodil bulbs thinking they were onions. Used them in a casserole and ended up being so ill he's been admitted to hospital. Apparently the Drs have said that they dont expect him out until next spring

Sadly working within health and safety guidleines thats a recomendation..

I believe saffron is traditionally removed from the crocus flower , certainly the famous cornish saffron bun contains this , sadly now a very artificial colouring is used due to costs involved, although some bakeries still use the real thing thankfully.

Not something I grow, especially as they take so much time , plus the local farmer sells stunning collies for 50p..much cheaper to buy them !!!

Rotation is greatly overated..rarely do it myself with little or zero impact.People fail to realise is that some plots are not really big enough for the wonderfull and often complex plan...so common sense and natures luck play a big part..and thats the joy of having an allotment !!
