As for the Comfrey, i would definately plant them in the ground, then all you have to worry about is cutting it four or five times a year. :)

Dear GIB, if your celery is of a usable size i would certainly start using it. It will still be far better than that twangy stuff that one can buy, and that wil be without any cold weather. :)

And a good morning to you dear Lizzie, it really is very late to be sowing leek seed, if we get a favourable winter you might get some small but very late leeks. I planted 250 leeks out yesterday, just to cheer you up, and i must say they were first class leeks. You might be better off waving those ...
