Re: Food unwrapped

Re: Early Winter Bits and Bobs.

Nasty frost overnight here... Only good thing that came of it is that it broke up the clay structure in most my beds, so when I ran the cultivator over it after lunch, it broke down to a lovely crumb :-)

Re: Don't panic.

I'm still struggling with the glare of black print on a stark white background rather than perhaps a very pale green (for example) background but I guess my vision defects will just have to try and live with that. I have the same problems, but because of my dyslexia rather than vision problems... I...

Re: Your Challenge for 2016?

Not on my item, but, we had one basket weaving plot holder. When they gave up their plot was useless, edge to edge osier with stumps and roots everywhere. depends on the type of willow you grow I've found a place selling some shallow root stuff, and i'm growing it in a corner of my garden thats a b...

Re: Your Challenge for 2016?

for me, my challenge is to grow willow... I'm fed up of bamboo canes, there nice, but I keep braking them, or this year, some kind of grub had destroyed my entire stock of canes :( So I've decided, this year, nothing that needs supports, but to get willow growing for next year :D

Garden of endless wonder

I'm seriously thinking that my garden might be on the site of the old warehouse 12 (from warehouse 13, if you havent watched it, you should) I keep finding all sorts of weird and wonderful things when digging my beds, or pulling weeds, or harvesting my crops... Today I found a cobble path while digg...

Re: Unimpressed (sorry to be negative)

I'd just been considering asking my wife for a subscription for Christmas... Might hang fire a bit and see. I only buy the mag when it's on offer anyway (or like this month, I wanted the seeds)

Re: Strawberry Sweetcorn?

I love growing unusual veg - looks interesting. All my sweetcorn was devoured by hungry rats this year over the space of two days. That's unlucky I'll be starting my seeds in the greenhouse to keep the mice out... At least you got something interesting with your magazine. When I read the email from...
