Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
I've done it again. I just can't say no! I am now the owner of a free bag of onion sets that came in a neighbours order. Not needed as I have 70 baby plants from seed all up & looking OK but.....these are supposed to big ones, (name alludes me just to be unhelpful)! I was pleased with last years...

Re: What is the right charger?
Not successful chasing B&D re: the charger, but I have found a site that sells them; but at over £30. The house has been turned upside down so I think I am pretty assured it is not at home. I also ruled out accidentally throwing it away as the actual plug into the socket is attached not another ...

I forgot it despite leaving myself notes! Is it available on any catch up stations?

Re: Large seed potatoes
Welcome to the forum Fernside! I have done this in the past, I just kept them whole while chitting but when ready for planting out I just made sure there was shared eyes/chits between each slice. They grew fine without any drying out but it was a while ago when the weather was more predictable, so u...

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
Just watched Country File & a bit confused about the weather as they are so indecisive they are using models of other countries tracking our weather fronts end of the week. From what I can assess it will either snow up North, in Wales & the Midlands or down South - or not! Back to looking ou...

Re: What is the right charger?
Cheers Geoff & OH! I will contact B&D to confirm as obviously that model is discontinued, but think the cheaper option would be do get a new drill, or rather request one for my birthday! You almost know that the minute you order a new one the charger will turn up! :) AKA sod's law! Think it ...

Welcome to the forum paulreed!
I can't answer your question as it is something I have never been successful with, but just hang in there until the clever forum members come online.

As retropants says, just leave them. Mine were damaged which is why I cut them.

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.
Proper rain showing again down here at the end of the week, but seems only for one day, drizzle for a few days either side. Today I tackled the tunnel & got it all tidied, weeded, dug or fed. It was pretty compacted where it had got soaked with water coming under the cover during the storms &...

Re: What is the right charger?
Thanks Geoff, Nothing I have at home has double holes to attach into the drill, just a single one & even in the e- bay one it doesn't show down into the connector to confirm this. Yep you're right the rip off price does affect my decision to get the right one. I think I might try to contact B&am...

Re: Tesco vs Asda on prices
I have to agree with that OH! Also annoying is their offers exclude a lot of folk who are really struggling as they have to apply for a loyalty card or load offers to their phone. That is the cheap phone they can only ring family on & no clue of other uses, although many don't have more than the...

Re: Garlic - softneck
Hi Myrkk! They are very hardy & will be fine in pots but I would still find a sheltered spot, not so much for warmth but protection from strong wind. Mine were planted direct from clove Oct/Nov time & are all up, but one of the many storms took out the net cover which broke a lot of the leav...

What is the right charger?
I have a Black & Decker Reviva drill, code/model REVHD12C, but can't find the charger lead. I was sure I left it down in the shed but I've looked everywhere. I have other chargers & things at home but none of them match the size to plug the charger into the drill. I went on line but a lot ju...

Hi Barney,
Wilko is still online, (www.wilko.com). Still the same things to buy but without them paying the extortionate rentals. Best you don't compare the prices you already paid, but if you want assurance of a crop might be worth a peek to see if they still have left.

Re: Tesco vs Asda on prices
Only a Tesco express near us, but not walking distance so don't use as lots of empty shelves so wasted journey. The Aldi store about 1 1/2miles in the complex is probably the worst place I've been in for having a coherent walk around, plus have to dodge things falling out of the central aisle offers...
