The default avatar was a question mark if you haven't uploaded a picture, or specified your gender!

I've changed it now, refresh a few times and you should see the question mark disappear!

We have addressed this now by taking our own backups and keeping all of them indefinitely. I can only say that w...

Apologies everyone. We are working hard to restore these. We had a server crash that was unrelated to the forum. When restoring from the backup, some database tables were corrupted, PMs being part of that. I'll try to update you about any developments later today.

That was me - I was trying to work out why admin messages where coming into the wrong inbox at Mortons - so I'd tried changing the forum email. I can change it back to kgwebmaster

Nope - just an incorrect setting, no actual reason for it!! I think it was a forum area we added later on in life, and it just hasn't got the same view settings as other sections.

I'll fix it now!
