Re: Woolly aphids!

Don't know sorry... I've been lucky to not face aphids in jumpers! The normal ones are bad enough :) Will be watching this post to see if anyone has any ideas

Roquito chilli pepper pearls - ?

Good Afternoon all, Hope you're all doing well and your plants are doing well? I'm at the green tom stage and quite a few small peppers! So fingers crossed it should be a good crop I've been eating quite a lot of Roquito chilli pepper pearls - however as hard as I look, can't find what type of chill...

Re: Bulk (cheap?) fertilizer

Thankfully :) I do love tomatoes! Looking forwards to fresh toms and then salsa and chutneys and then tom soup and puree! Got quite a range of beet toms and cherry toms too! Will see if I can get a photo uploaded :)

Re: Bulk (cheap?) fertilizer

I'll have a look at the ones you mentioned John - what is FBB? By "growing plants on mass", I mean 45 tomato plants, 30 chilli / pepper plants, 10 blueberry plants, 15 strawberry plants, 4 blackberries and then the rest of bits and bobs! My mistake of "plant 3 x the amount as there wi...

Bulk (cheap?) fertilizer

Good afternoon all, It's my 1st time on growing fruiting plants on mass. Fast running out of my small bottle of tomorite... Please can people let me know if there is an easier place to buy bulk feed, or possibly make my own? (Looked into comfy, but can't get it in bulk locally and it's too late in t...

Aphids!

Good afternoon all

I've got 2 batchs of Toms, 1 is healthy and doing well, the other (further down the garden) is full of Aphids. Is there any gentle / pet friendly tricks people recommend? I couldn't remember if soapy water was for Aphids or not?

Thank you!

Re: Free plants (from wormaries)

WOW! A peach tree is cool Keep us upto date on the peach colour I'm interested in to see what type of tomatoes I've got - counted 12 seedlings so far. It does feel bad! This is why I'm putting it in the seedling trays, as then it's not too bad Got some lavander growing in the wall and I'm loathed to...

Free plants (from wormaries)

We bung all the kitchen scraps into the wormary. Last year I used some of the resulting compost and got a little forest of tomato seedlings - however it was late in the year and they all died. I kept compost in a dark bag (rubble bag) until this spring. Put a thin layer, approx 1 inch thick, into se...

Re: WANTED - Porophyllum coloratum

Just bitten the bullet and bought it! Also got some funny looking tomatoes ('Reisetomate' Pocketbook Vine Tomato) and some sweetcorn. If it's as "good" as people say, I'll put some seeds up on here, for swap, after its 1st year. From the Guardian website : m "The herb papalo (Porophyl...

Good afternoon all,

Does anyone have any Porophyllum coloratum seeds to swap?

I've got a lot of tomato, chilli, pepper, squash and other veg seeds to swap.

Happy to give you a list if you have Porophyllum coloratum.

Thanks :)
