This is my first year of growing plants from seeds never realised tomatoes plants were hairy.

I am like the child who was asked where do eggs come from and they replied a shop.

We are told to rinse cans out before putting them in the recycling bin.

Wonder how many tins full of water is used?

ALso I hear Scotland has lots of water how about the export it?

Read somewhere that a weak solution of washing up liquid water is good for getting rid of aphids on trees & roses.

We are an island surrounded by water and there’s a water shortage.

I’m sure if it was so serious that the water companies started to loose money they would find a solution on how to use the water around us.

Yes beef dripping immediately came to mind. Picture the white bowl full of left over dregs from the roast joint or frying pan that was turned upside down to get tat the jelly at the bottom. Mine seem very slow compared to the lettuce planted at the same time & radish planted later.

Spent today sowing seeds and find that most of the seeds are sealed in a kitchen foil type packet inside the paper jackect. I was not aware of this as never opened a packet of seeds before, so thinking all this storing in the fridge over winter was a waste of effort. There was a couple of freebee pa...

Great productive day here full sunshine all day. Got the raised beds finished and composted. Forecast good for tomorrow so hopefully get the grass under control.
