Re: Happy Birthday PJ.

Many thanks for the good wishes. I'm officially old today  Been busy getting the garden under control this year, after my little scare last year. It sort of got left to its own devices as I was concentrating on the allotment. Still, I feel pretty fit these days, so it must have worked :) It's 8...

Re: In the bleak Mid Winter, Bits and Bobs.

I've just got back from 2 weeks in Madeira, where the parks are being watered with hosepipes :) Warm and sunny all the time, with Monarch butterflies and various dragonflies in abundance. We even went past a small allotment site, which looked very well stocked. Just the odd cabbage white fluttering ...

Re: Fifty years ago today...

Belated congratulations Alan :) A friend of mine has just been invited to a wedding. No presents please, just financial donations to fund our year long trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. I won't put on here what she said about that  We hit 40 years later in the summer. Our little terraced house in S...

and why do worms make their way up to the topmost part of a polytunnel?

Quite often see them from inside. Far too many to be dropped by birds :?

Re: Early Winter Bits and Bobs.

A lot of black-ice out on the roads this morning, i suppose this will catch out those who are late for everything. Quite a frost here this morning as well. Everything is calm at the moment, although the clouds are building up again. Went down the plot this morning and had a look around the site. Mu...

Re: Happy New Year

Very strong winds here again and rain to come later.

Just had a very bracing walk along the seafront. Walking at a 45 deg angle is the norm in these parts don't you know :)

Re: Christmas Day.

Hi Gerry,

So sorry to hear that. We lost our parsons jack russell back in May and we still miss him.

We thought about not getting another dog, but we rescued a Shih Tzu at the end of August and haven't regretted it one bit.
