i thought it was common knowledge that bocking 14 comfrey is sterile i found several reference's about bocking 14 being sterile the following is from winipedia there are a few links below also. very interesting link Johnboy but i still stand by what i said bocking 14 is sterile.maybe one of the root cuttings you got was regular comfrey when you planted them .but in fairness there is always one plant that wont do what is expected from it

the specks were about 5-10mm wide i am certain they they aren't salt.it is calcium build up im wondering if so little calcium would cause the potatoes to get bad scab

I use a lot of seaweed in our garden it covers most beds now this time of year.last year there was a lot of white specks on the seaweed . I found out through a friend that this is calcium on the seaweed.calcium is similar to lime would this cause the terrible scab I had on most of my setanta potatoe...

I just make these products to pass the time I am at home most of the time minding a 2 year old I can pass on recipes etc if anyone is interested . BOCKING 14 IS STERILE SO IT CANNOT SPREAD BY SEED IT WILL MULTIPLY LIKE CHIVES AND GET BIGGER AND BIGGER PLANTS EACH YEAR
