Re: Mid Winter Bits and Bobs.

Well I thought the big discount from D.T. Browns was just for K.G readers...wrong...just had an unaddressed and exactly the same catalogue in the post, so loads of people must be getting them...it is a different promo code though.
I did feel special for a little while though... :)

Just managed to finish weeding an 80 feet, double row of Elephant Garlic, that were full of Chickweed...a rewarding job when done but, frustrating while doing it... :)

Re: Mid Winter Bits and Bobs.

As I had quite a lot of seeds left from last year, it didn't really warrant an order from Moles seeds, so I took advantage of the small D.T.Brown catalouge that came with the K.G magazine and by using the promo code, saved a hefty £42...rather pleased. :)

Re: Mid Winter Bits and Bobs.

Thank you all for your kind words...I have been very lucky really, regarding being anxious about the whole thing... was lucky in that I could just keep working and that was enough to keep me positive about things all the way through.

Afternoon Shallot Man, lots of things are starting to shoot now and with the temperature starting to rise even more next week (if the forecasters have it right), I think there will be lots of plants, shrubs and trees going to be in trouble. Most things will get over having new shoots burnt off by fr...

Re: Hurst Greenshaft v. Alderman

Alderman can give an amazing crop, Monika but, they do need ideal conditions to do this...too wet or dry, too windy, or if the soil isn't in the best of condition, will all give a poor crop. And if they do dry out, they are prone to mildew and struggle to get over it. But saying all that, if you do ...
