Logic?

Well forgive me Allan but I fail to see your logic and I would suggest you check your mathmatics.
Apart from the fact that compost is worked out by using Cubic Capacity so you are a dimension missing!

Ragwort

Hi Sally, I agree with you posting and would just like to stress the point about using gloves when handling it as it can have harmful effects on us as well. I always dig or pull Ragwort and if it is in flower I always put the head into a small polythene bag and bend the plant down and this way if th...

Propagating

Hi Andrew,
The equipment you will require is totally dependent on what you actually want to grow on your allotment.
If you could post more details perhaps we can all chip in and help you.

Punpkin Seeds

Hi Julie, I feel that John is perfectly right in all he has said. I do not consider it to be correct to store seeds for prolonged periods in a Refrigerator Salad Draw. I appreciate that a lot of people agree with Walt and I have read articles that advocate Walts advice. My seeds are kept in individu...

Wood for Raised Beds

Hi Paul, The Health and Safety Regulations meant that some time ago the formula for preserving timber had to be reformulated and these treatments no longer contain some of the offencive chemicals used in the original brew. Unfortunately a lot of the Organic publications, whether by error or design, ...

GM Crops

Hi Jenny, May I respectfully ask you to read the New Scientist Web page again. The Peas had nothing to do with Brazil Nut Allergy it was another experiment back in 1990 concerning Soya Beans. Now I agree with the testing of GM products but you put a sinister insinuation that if the company producing...

GM Crops

Hi Pete, I too thank you for the link and I feel that it is a very balanced view. Unlike Jenny I am exceedingly pro GM and to say that her friend, who has a strong allergy to Brazil Nuts, would have been in trouble had she eaten those Peas. You should take on board the fact that the rigourous testin...

Hi Paul, I am having trouble logging on and have found that by deleting the saved password and typing it in again it works. Must remember to purchase a teething ring as I think I shall need something to chew on shortly! With the spirit that we have at Lizzie's Tea Party this will all work out if we ...

Hi Jane,
Please bear with me just a little longer. I signed on this morning but have only just become 'active' as BT/Yahoo decided to treat the validation as spam!!
I ticked it as not spam and it has taken 4 hours to get to my inbox.
My posting will be there first thing in the morning.
