Hi,
I realise that it the weather has been cold & wet.
I have sown 2 lots of Carrots & Parsnips direct into the ground and nothing has currently germinated. Do I assume those sowings will never germinate ? Is it too late to try again ?

I have used root trainers for years and always had a great results. This year my germination rates for Peas Broad Beans Runner Beans French Beans have been very poor. Hi,
I harvested my first ever Parsnips. The variety was "Student".
As per the attached picture, they are short & fat with a number of roots.
Why is that ?

I took this allotment plot over last autumn in a very overgrown state. I guess contamination has come from neighbouring plots.
I suspect I won't grow next year as Leeks do occupy space for a long time.
