Tomato problems

Good afternoon,

I am growing tomatoes for the first time and they are being grown in a greenhouse.

They were looking extremely healthy, however, suddenly, that has changed.

Please see the pictures.

What's the issue and can anything be done about it ?

Thanks

Protection for Brassicas

Good morning,

In have an allotment and have tried to grow

Brussels, Cabbage, Cauliflower

However, they have suffered with caterpillar and bird damage.

Given the need for crop rotation, what is the best protection I can buy for the plants ?

Thanks

Red Onion

Hi,

Most of my Red Onion sets have bolted despite being "heat treated". Is there a way to stop bolting in future ?

Thanks

Germination rates

Hi,

I realise that it the weather has been cold & wet.

I have sown 2 lots of Carrots & Parsnips direct into the ground and nothing has currently germinated. Do I assume those sowings will never germinate ? Is it too late to try again ?

Thanks

Re: Root trainers

I have used root trainers for years and always had a great results. This year my germination rates for Peas Broad Beans Runner Beans French Beans have been very poor. Parsnips

Hi,

I harvested my first ever Parsnips. The variety was "Student".

As per the attached picture, they are short & fat with a number of roots.

Why is that ?

Thanks

Re: Leeks

Hi, Thanks for everyone for the welcomes to the forum and for the replies re my Leek issues. I took over the allotment last autumn in a very overgrown state. I guess the infestation has come from other, nearby, allotments ? As Leeks occupy space for a long time I guess I will probably give them a mi...

Re: Leeks

Hi !

Thanks for the welcomes !

I took this allotment plot over last autumn in a very overgrown state. I guess contamination has come from neighbouring plots.

I suspect I won't grow next year as Leeks do occupy space for a long time.
