I forgot entirely that it was my birthday. Many apologies. I have given up gardening for the time being, but have still got an increasing flock of birds, thanks to my son who is now in charge of them. Apologies again. A month or so and I should be back again, hopefully.

If you remember Old Mrs Brown, I am afraid she finally succumbed to extreme old age at the weekend. She was fifteen and a half, which my son reckons is the equivalent of 238 in hen years!
We will not see her like again.
