I think I read somewhere that the Sarpos,although the plant tops stay healthy and growing if left to long the potatoes can go hollow,I know ours were still flowering when we lifted them 3 weeks ago.I don`t know about other varieties tho`.

Johnboy-has spraying with acid been banned or something,the fields round here have been sprayed with something and the potato tops are fading fast,we assumed it was acid as usual,certainly warning sign are on some footpaths.

If it`s any help if you peel and dice butternut it freezes very well without going mushy when you defrost.

We`ve been eating moneymaker aubergines for a few weeks and each plant still have about 8 developing fruit each,the other plain green ones are producing 2 fruit but they are larger.
