Thank you -I will give both of those suggestions a try. I thought perhaps a pesto with corriander maybe almonds instead of pine nuts. I have enough to experiment with.

Corriander

Hi

I have just been given 2 huge bunches of corriander - more than I can sensibly use before it goes off - anyone got any ideas of what I can do to preserve some for later use in the long cold winter ahead??

My kitchen smells wonderful by the way..

Curiosity got the better of me yesterday and I dug up 2 of my late planted PFA. I found a total of 11 potatos, the biggest was almost as big as my thumb- and my thumb isnt very big! In fact I picked raspberrys that were bigger than my potatos. I think I will have to leave well alone for a bit longer...

Thanks Chris - I will look out for them next year. I have the same problem wanting to try a small number of serveral varieties. There is a near by gargen centre where I can buy as few or many as I want but they only stock a limited range. The catalogues do have selection packs of smaller quantities ...

Thanks for all your comments. I bought PFA last year at the farmers market and inspite of the obvious design flaws the flavour was wonderful. I thought I would give them a go - and I am looking forward to them although I may save them for boxing day - too much messing about Christmas day! This is of...

Right time for artichokes?

I have been offered some artichoke off shoots by a friend so long as I help myself. Does anyone know what the right time of year to do this. And how big should the offshoots be?

Yesterday I finally got round to getting my Pink fur apples into the ground..nicely chitted, not all leggy. The question ...
