general feed

I use a seaweed feed called formulex, very similar to tomorite! question is can I use it as a general feed instead of buying tomorite or similar for all other veg? Reason I ask I buy formulex in bulk and it works ...

Our hydroponic system in the greenhouse is going great guns this year, but with one problem, it is overrun with whitefly! I have tried sticky tapes hung across the system, sprayed with bug clear, also a fine hose. It takes forever to rinse /wash the produce through before tucking into it . Has anybo...

Blueberries again!

Bought three blueberry bushes after the previous ones failed. I heard we will struggle to grow them here as we are 500 yards from beach and they don't like the salty air. Have potted them up and put them in conservatory. Can i grow them in there permanently?

Re: Blueberries

Paul. I know the Pevensey Bay Area well and wonder if there is just too much salt spray in the air for the plants to thrive, as well as possibly hard tap water. I love blueberries but have never grown any as i've known too many people have poor success with them. It seems wise to treat all the cata...

Blueberries

Well, have another go at Blueberries, so far we have lost 5 plants over 4 years! we put them in pots in ericacous compost in a fruit cage. We grew them perfect in our old house in Woking, but am struggling here in pevensey bay, east sussex. We are about 500 yards from beach but just inland and prote...

asparagus

HI,
I have grown two types of asparagus from seed in propagators and are doing well . they are about 3 inches tall and look fragile. is it worth potting them up keeping them in greenhouse until next year then planting them out?
