Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone Last year WAS a stinker oldherbaceous Tatties and tomatoes got blight, melons and cucumbers rotted away (possibly me watering them wrong?) and my neighbour's ornamental pigeons descended upon my peas and beans!!! Oh, and what was left got nobbled by the slugs!!...

No swallows yet in Northumberland (in Alnwick where I am anyway) but we've had Chiffchaffs for a few weeks now and the first Blackcaps have been singing their gorgeous hearts out for a week now
