Planting overwintering brassicas

We have received a delivery of brassicas and have planned the area to plant them. The area was previously used by the former plot holder for sweetcorn. We have dug over and manured the area. What else do we need to keep in mind before and during planting please?

Car needs new gear box and clutch - big bill

Going to have to try and sell some of my chickens and my beloved ducks to raise some cash. They say money doesn't buy happiness but a small lottery win would...

Rhubarb

When I was visiting an allotment the other day a chap there came me an armful of rhubarb. I have been preparing it today to make a crumble and noticed that some of the sticks have what looks like rooty bits at the bottom. Would it be possible for me to get a plant from these? Lupin Germinating

I have planted Lupin seeds and one or two are already peeping through. Do they have to be put out in to the light immediately they show or if not how much growth should I wait for before putting them in the light? Thanks

Allotment Brierley Hill/Stourbridge/Kingswinford West Mids

I know this is a long shot but do we have a forum member who lives in this area and who knows of allotments with vacant plots. I am fighting a losing battle trying to find one.
