A mindful moment

Had a wander on a rather misty day to the nearby Aberdeenshire coast, a short video with sound.

Re: Early Summer Bits and Bobs.

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Cooler day so got a bit of gardening done as well as a three mile walk round the village fields and lanes. Lots of wildlife, so I may go back with a camera. Tomatoes are in their final places, though a lot of left overs that will end up in pots or with neighbours, some more peas planted that were st...

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Been fishing, didn't catch anything, but another step in my recovery, though I have more surgery pending, will be glad when they fix me though.

Re: Been bird watching again

Thanks, it's getting a decent day to be outside, can't get this gear wet, so hid in a bird hide for a couple of hours, hoping for a Beaver or an Osprey and neither showed up, oh well, that's nature filming.

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Bright and breezy with a bit of warmth from the sun, potted the chillies and peppers on into their final pots, now hopefully tucked up warm in the greenhouse.

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Apparently it's the Oxalic acid that cause the problem with rhubub, though I do have a recipe for wine where you use a crushed Campden tablet to nullify that, but just don't bother now.

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Raining up here too today. I gave up trying to grow rhubub in my thin coastal sandy soil, I used to make wine with it years ago, made a lovely Rose type too, it has adverse effects on my joints now, arthritis setting in so I don't eat it now.

Frost overnight still restricting outside activity up here, only 2 degrees inside the greenhouse, not very Spring like.

Re: Spring Bits and Bobs.

Pleasant enough day today, got some grass cut and a bit more digging of a new flower bed for the wife to play with(she will tell you she is no gardener, but wants flowers for the Bees), have some more Onions and Peas to plant out that are getting in the way in the greenhouse, hopefully do it tomorrow.
