Re: Going Green, but not doing so?

My plot is other side of sand dunes so with heavy wind/rain it gets fair share of sea water, plus in the past I have put couple builders bag full of sea weed straight from beech.
Can't say I have notice any damage to the soil.

Westi If you just use mobile and only want broadband without landline line ask your techy guy if tethering using mobile like Giffgaff would work.

Re: NHS Dentists in Scotland?

Seems everybody has a mental health issue these days, people that call in to the doctor spot on Jeremy Vine show often add they have a mental health issue at the end of their symptoms. It's good to hear you are getting a generous pension as you should, I gu...

Re: solar irrigation system

15 to 30 mins constant.
I use this as a hose and would easily drain a 200 litre butt in 30 mins.

Re: NHS Dentists in Scotland?

As for hospitals that are failing the administrators should be held responsible as they are not doing their job prop...

Re: solar irrigation system

I use Bosch 18v water pump on plot.

If water flow power is low keep water butt constantly filled using stopcock attached to hose pipe.

Re: Late Winter Bits and Bobs.

Westi.. There was a lady that used an electric babboe bike to transport her 2 children about with them in the front box (for want of a better word) which had a cover for wet weather. Thought it was better for the children to see where they were going rather than looking at the back of their parent. ...

Welcome Guy.

For growing more produce in small spaces check out "Veg in One Bed, Huh Richards"book.

For composting check Charles Dowding on the web.

My local library has books from both the authors above.

Re: Tesco vs Asda on prices

Good that Lidl took an interest shows they care, mostly you come across issues that when you report to company the don't care and it's impossible to make contact with some com. Two examples...eon had pres 1 to leave a reading press 2 for something else mixed up should have been other way round... Tr...

Re: Tesco vs Asda on prices

Has to be Tesco for regular shopping as thats the nearest. I use Lidl when I get £5 off voucher or planning to be in their town.
Lidl fresh veg is better & cheaper than Tesco.
