From Allan's Wife, Pamela

Thank you all so much for your tributes to Allan. So many of your names are familiar to me as he often talked about the Forum. JB was kind enough to come to Allan's funeral on Friday. Here is the arrangement of flowers, herbs and vegetables I made for his coffin. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/pameladay...

We never came up with anything better. Wire is fiddly but it is cheap, Anything more robust means that if the cage gets mishandled breakages could occur.

Mesh cages

May I remind you that my description of mesh cages is still available under the technical data section (Feb 2007).We found them very versatile and effective on everything from rabbits to slugs.

But you will need water to rehydrate the dehydrated watew. The space station workers are using recycled water and why not if it is done properly.

They sell water in big bottles seperately.
If people can add water to other things according to instructions eg Campbells soups, they can dilute the orange juices the same as is done with squash drinks.

That website is a very good place to pick up a link to all sorts of things. For instance I found out thet the Tetra drinks cartons and many similar can be recycled with the right machinery, some people get as much as 70% recovery. It always seems wrong to me that there are large quantities of water ...

There may be another problem inasmuch as sometimes a significant number od tubers get left in the ground and grow the next season which could be a nuisance especially if you are changing to another potato variety.

The new "weedol 2" is diquat only, surely this would do the same job. Or how\about a flame gun?
I have not grown potatoes for a number of years, they don't pay their keep, you can get acceptable potatoes from many outlets these days.

equinox,solstice.

What is more seasonal than this topic :?: I have been having my doubts about the equinoxes and solstices so I did a search. It appears that they are not fixed but are predictable. I think the summer solstice is always the same on 21st. June but haven't checked all possible dates. For the rest there ...

I have to accept the apology if that is what it was. I personally check my mailings immediately after posting to look for mistakes and typos. However I think it is a great pity that the default website was ever changed, the situation now is that anybody finding us will not have a clue that the forma...
