blueberries

My wife went out to my garden, and took a photograph of my blueberry bush, which although in winter foliage, lovelly red colours, is full of green blueberries. I wonder if they will ripen? Now I don't normally harvest the berries, because the garden is not acid, and the berries are left for the bird...

Peter, what a lad. You and the school should be proud of him. Typical,if I may say so, rugby player. If he had played kiss ball, he would probably been in intensive care!

What they are trying to do, like all unelected bodies, is try to make themselves noticed! With our money they can be as outrageous as they wish to be. They have to show that they are still around and being usefull!!!!!!! As our glorious first minister in Wales said:"we will make a bonfire of qu...

Sorry Alan, but I wouldn't trust a green if I could see him/her. They are nothing, in my mind, other than scare mongers. As the saying goes (I think) Lies, damned lies and statistics. If they had their way, we would be back to the wheel, or maybe not that far advanced. They give the Ludites a bad nam...

Thing is, they will just not allow them to be sold in shops, and we will have a black market in pestisides!

Unfortunately, It went as all finals do. No one wants to make a mistake, so a poor game. Tait made one and it was a penalty. He had a very good game though, and is certainly one for the next World Cup. I'm sorry to have to say this again, but the hero worship of JW is not justified. Past glories can...

Anyone seen the article in today's Mail? Apparently, the EU commissioners are to vote on Tuesday, to have pestisides banned on alotments, public parks and golf courses. No more pristine greens! Also, banned near water courses. So much for the agriculture in East Anglia then.

Agreed JB. There is no room for dirty play, sometimes it does get over vigorous, but going for the eyes is a reprehensible act. What made the game for me, was the look of sheer joy on the faces of the Argentine players. They played their hearts out, and deserved the win. To the shame of the IRB, the...

Whoever it comes from, the sentiment is right. We deserve a referendum to let the unelected bureaucrats know what we think. We used to be a nation that could speak its mind, a nation with the greatest sense of humour in the world. Our grandchildren will never know what they are missing.

Hi JB. I started playing the game around 1950, and I agree entirely with you. Nowaday scrum halves wouldn't have lived with the scruim halves of then. I was a wing forward, and delighted in standing over an inside half waiting to play the ball from a scrum (didn't have to stay bound in those days). ...

Sorry JB your anology passes my by. Wales cannot be as you said, because we have nothing to be mouthy about! If you saw any Welsh rugby TV programme, or read any Welsh papers, you would know that we are more critical about our own than any other country (possibly not counting NZ). What does get up o...

What you can make out of that OH, is that I wish that Wales were in the final, even playing badly, but, I'm fed up with the game I love being turned into ball in the air, not in the hand. I have played and refereed this wonderful game at a high level, and also been a coach and physio to my local tea...

Before I go on, I will say that if SA get to the final, then I hope England win. Having said that, JB, as an ex first class rugby player, you must agree with the "embittered" Welshman who said that the game was rubbish. There wasn't a good team on the field. Other than the first, and only ...
