grass clippings as mulch round strawberries?

The subject header says it all really. Does the panel approve? In fact, can I use grass clippings as a mulch on other fruit and veg, e.g. tomatoes, raspberries?

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hello - can anyone advise on what is the best thing to do with a bay tree about five foot high that is really quite a mess now. It had bay sucker for quite a while, then I finally realised what the problem was and sprayed with insecticide, but by that point it had lost about a third of its leaves. T...

Thanks for those tips. I did cut the canes down to about 10cm when I planted them, so hopefully this will promote growth of new suckers. But with the autumn-fruiting ones, do you think cutting the shoots off the original canes would also help?
