As you describe that leaves of tomatoes plants are also having some purple spots. It may be due to phosphorus deficiency or any disease can also cause it to plants.

Hi Collins! Have a look on Hydra Bio Compost, it is a biological compost accelerator. It introduces Oxygen Agents, Fungi and Bacteria to condition the soil.

PLUMPUDDING is absolutely right.
Pick the cucumbers before the seed grow large and make cucumbers less tasty.

Sweet Potatoes remain safe to use for long time.........so you need not to worry more for their preservation.
Also try to grill the sweet potatoes instead of baking...hope you like grilled ones....
