Re: Gift bags for home made Christmas pressies.

No, these are special, decorative food gift containers specifically designed for the purpose. They have some in Lakeland but, frankly, they're crap. Not spending out on them.

Gift bags for home made Christmas pressies.

The lovely Grockie and I were wondering where people got their gift bags from when they have made bikkies etc for people. Looking in Lakeland but nothing tickles our fancy there. Have trawled through Amazon and ebay to no avail. Anybody know of anywhere that is good and reasonable in price? Thanks e...

Plums

Does anyone have any plum recipes please? I am snowed under by plums. So far they have been made into jam, chutnies, cobblers, pies, crumbles and I am running out of idea. I like the idea of a plum loaf, a bit like a Soreen. Any idea please? Thanks

Re: Hi everyone

My father in law was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer so I have been up and down to Dorset with my Grumpy Sod. Been staying for a week at a time, then back home to see to my kids and my mum, then back there again. Did that for 10 weeks, then he died so we had the funeral so was down there for an...

Hi everyone

It's certainly kept me very busy and away from the allotment. Still, cant be helped. If I'm not in the city cos of circu...

Re: Weather from the met office

Well, from what i've been able to find out, it's looking like the weather for Glastonbury should be a goodun. So sunscreen is packed for my delicate, burn prone skin. Bottle opener and corkscrew is on a chain to go around my neck. A girlie needs to be prepared to open anything whilst waiting for the...

Re: Alternative greenhouse uses

My 16 year old cat, Evil One, uses my littlw plastic walk in greenhouse as another bed/sunbathing space. It's got so bad with her hogging it, that i've put a box in there for her as she has flattened one of my salad boxes lying on it for yet another sleep. I would normally have turfed her out, but s...

Re: Friendly fox

He's certainly a fine figure of a fox and looks in the pink. Me and The Grockie went up to Otterspool one night, on the banks of the Mersey. We were sitting there, chatting away and then a load of foxes came over and started to help themselves out of the bin. Must have been about 4 of them. We sat t...

Re: Long term weather forecasts

It is for Glastonbury (providing I get a ticket tomorrow morning in the re-sale) so will pack the wellies and waterproofs just in case. Together with sun lotion too. Still, it's always dry/cool in the bar so I guess it wont be a problem. It's good to rock out in the rain

Re: Bread

Use the same receipe Kev. When it's kneaded then separate the dough into buns and leave to rise as usual. That's how i do it when I make bread.
