I live in St Helens it’s not far from Liverpool I’ve not heard a cuckoo in ten years although my plot backs onto wild fields and woods the tomatoes in my pollytunnel are about three months behind a normal year on my plot I have 8 apple bushes some more like trees all have apples on they are the same...

I bought one about 5 years ago I find weather like we have just had kills and he worms although if you have a root through the trays I can find lots of tiny ones , I’ve never had enough to spread around my plot but get quite a lot of worm tea and had a bit of soil from the trays I’ve used for potting

My plot is in a mess compared to what I usually have it at this time of the year my right knee is giving me jip I can manage about half an hour then it kicks off I had a cautazone (spelt wrong) about 6 weeks ago it was great for around 2 weeks then slowly back to the way it usually is, two weeks ago...

I have a tumbling composter and find it a waste of time it can be hard to turn when full it can be hard to open the lid having to use a hammer at times to tap it to break the seal

I normally let mine grow to nine trusses I have them in a pollytunnel so I have to bend them around to suite the polythene

I grew burlesque last year very impressed with them I lifted one out of the freezer yesterday it was 3 inches diameter and still sweet I have to grow blight resistant tomatoes because of the idiots who leave them rotting on the plant

This is our third day of rain ,seems to have eased a bit in the last half hour hope it dries up I have to go to the dressing rooms at 2-30 to get a deep cut on my shin dressed

I bough a head for mine that would take 4 mm line and thicker if you could get it , it was made for all makes of machines admittedly this was in Spain were the weeds grow 25 mm or an inch in old money thick I’m sure there will be some one who could get you one who go over on holidays
