This year I trialed Moonlight and Firestorm. Moonlight. It did not crop very well. Masses of flowers that did not convert into masses of beans. Has anyone tried Duncan F1 from Marshals? I was given a packet many years ago to try. The results were very good, a quick growing sweet crisp cabbage. It is the only cabbage I have used since.

I normally grow Enorma with one other variety that changes every year. This year I have not grown enorma choosing instead two self pollinating varieties. The problem with rats once they become established in an area is that they are neophobic. As such, they are distrustful of any new object (traps etc) within their territory. The way to overcome that problem is to take preventative measures. I am not a fan of poisons but they do have their place. And...
