I know a seed merchant who grows seeds for the big companies. So yes, they do buy it in but the seeds are grown especially for individual companies.

One of our cats managed to get behind the fitted kitchen cupboards. We found her by her cries but had to cut the inside of the cupboard into pieces to get her out.

Runner Beans

About four of my runner bean plants have had the growing tip eaten by snails in the greenhouse. Will these still grow? (Which I doubt) If I cut the stem back to the last set of leaves will they grow on from there?

We grow all our tomatoes outdoors and always get a good crop. Try Ferline which is blight resistant and Fantastico which is a new blight resistant tomato from Suttons. Inca is a good plum and Brandywine a good beefsteak style tomato.
