Yup, it had a fungussy (probably not the correct technical term) edge.

Probably find out it is edible and an expensive delicacy

My wife has an injury which means she sometimes drops things, we have used the 3 second rule for lots of things including whole roast chickens and legs of lamb!

She now no longer uses the deep fat fryer (twice been dropped and leaves a whole lot of mess to clear up).

Yup, that night I had a driving lesson, the instructor was running late so my lesson did not start until 10pm - I was offered the chance to cancel at no cost but learnt a fair deal about driving in "poor" conditions.

Checked mine yesterday and found some "new" green fruits 2 - 3" long.

Shall I harvest the orange ones and leave the green ones there, will they ripen off the plant ?

Our allotment shop gets bulk orders of seed potatos, current price is £2.40 for 3kg. I have ordered one bag of earlies, one second earlies and two main crop. This should give more than enough for a family of four (if there is space with everything else in the ground) without using them all !
