I was converted to liking beetroot by adding it grated to chocolate cakes and brownies and also a fantastic beetroot curry recipe in Rick Steins Far Eastern Odyssey (sp?) Also we roast it with thyme wrapped in foil and have it with lentils stewed with carrot, onion, celery & herbs. Top with feta...

I got Sarpo's from Klondike garden centre in Livingstone whilst on a business trip, I'm guessing that's not exactly round the corner from you either

Hmmm we probably spend about £50 per week on average. This includes cat food, chicken food & cleaning stuff. We get a veg box delivered fortnightly as well as the stuff we grow. We buy meat from the farm shop or farmers market, fish from the market & eat a lot of beans & pulses. Saying t...

Yes we do that but sieve the woody bits out, then freeze it. When defrosted we add soaked & boiled split green peas - makes a delish hearty but not heavy soup.

Hmmm we don't really do anniversary presents but for our wedding two years ago we received:- 2 t shirts with 'Ah I see the f**k up fairy has been again' and a red plastic bong (we don't even smoke tobacco..) The givers are no longer on our Christmas card list, what goes through these peoples minds???
