Spindly tomatoes
Hello, I have been a bit remiss in the care of my tomatoes in my propagator and slot of them have become very tall and spindly. Is it worth planting these toms out in the greenhouse, will they bear fruit or is it not worth the bother. Many thanks in advance.

Hello, I have recently taken over an allotment and while digging a new bed in what appears to be the foundations of an old victorian greenhouse I have found a quite mature and very large grapevine (at least 12 ft long with many "spurs"). Asking around it appears this grapevine was planted ...

Re: Starting off onion sets in module trays
Thanks Monica, I'm going to give it a go. I have done it with garlic with good results so I'm hoping it will work.

Starting off onion sets in module trays
Evening all,
just sneaked a peak at my neighbours greenhouse and he has strted off his onion sets in compost filled module trays. Has anyone done this themselves, as a technique I have never heard of this. Is it too late to start this now or am I better off planting them out in the ground?

Reuse seed compost?
Evening all,
I was wondering, I am about to transplant my Hispi cabbage seedlings into modules to grow on, as seed compost has very little if any nutrition in it is it possible to re-use the compost from the pot that I initially planted these seeds in and just pop some more seeds in to germinate?

Sowing chilli seeds now?
Hello, is anyone daring to sow any chilli seeds this month? Or is everyone waiting for February? I've just got myself a heated vitopod propogator so I thought I would give it a try but just a little worried about lack of light once they have germinated. Is anyone sowing anything else this month?
