Opened up some bagged compost. Very smelly like mildew.

ALLOTMENT STANDARDS

Does anyone have a good set of fair rules or terms and conditions for allotment sites. I am particularly looking for a form of words that describes and acceptable standard for when a plot is ok or when it needs some action before the plot holder is warned about losing their tenancy

Interesting stuff all this, really lucky that our site has 40 odd plots and a list of six. We have a light touch when it comes to keeping your plot up to scratch but there is a line to be drawn. Other sites are clearly more strict and i guess that depends on demand pressures Hope Stravaig is ok, the...

Yes spring, have the first seeds sewn in the newly refurbed Greenhouse which survived the storms, sadly some less sturdy constructions didn't. I am now digging and spreading bagged mushroom compost sparingly on the soil. Got a lot to do but feel I am on top of it at the moment. And yes how to save m...

Seed Shelf Life

Remember some time back probably on this forum. Seeing a guide to how long seed will keep. I.e. parsnips probably no longer than a year and so on. Any ideas where I can find such a guide?

So I spent yesterday concreting 4 posts for each corner of the allotment greenhouse. Really blowing here now. Holding tight for a few hours!
