we have been fortunate to not lose any to mice ,we have always covered our raised bed with enviro mesh untill they are tall enough to put the supports between and lift of the covering .But there is always a first time and will probably talk them up having just sown mine this past week lol . :roll:

Hi Ken
I grew mine (Cobra) up canes last year and had a very large crop 1 cane per plant around 12 inches apart if that helps

I have planted both first earlies and seconds as I am late with the firsts ,sown late parsnips carrots and radishes ,planted my onions sets which I had shooting ready in modules called golden ball ,appropriate for the world cup I thought lol ! have to do some late pricking out tomorrow and sow some ...

I have got to agree with Old Herbaceous. These winters are nothing like I remember and it feels like it is now dark for six months of the year ,not a thing I could get used to .

we had them a few years ago in the back garden and the field beyond so I invested in one of theose long thingys you push into the ground it takes batteries and buz at intervals well it got rid of them in my garden and in the feild beyond so now when I spot a hill. Off I go and buy more batteries and...
