My cucumbers

I have 2 types of cucumber growing in my greenhouse -both of which I have aquired as seedlings. One is a smooth variety and is doing really well and producing lots of delicious cucumbers. The other is a bumpy climber and has lots of tiny 1" cucumbers that don't seem to be getting any bigger. An...

Weeding

The weeds around my raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries and rhubarb have got completely out of hand. Short of a flame thrower has anyone got any ideas? I don't really want to use nasty poisonous chemicals but I'm totally daunted by the amount of back breaking weeding to be done. Help

What is eating my pea seedlings?

Something is eating my pea seedlings. I can't see any slug trails. Could it be mice? Here is a link to a picture I took of them if that is of any help. http://www.vegswap.co.uk/blog/image....otment+009.jpg. How would I stop mice? I think they ate my carrots last year too. Help!!

Do seeds go off?

Hi, I've been given some out of date seeds -some as long ago as 2002. I've been told that seeds last 20 years or more. Is this true? Is there any point planting my out of date seeds?

Hi, we have just started a produce exchange website -for the time being it is not profit making so I hope no one will mind me mentioning it here. I'm a very amateur gardener and only seemed to manage to grow rhubarb and spinach last year and there is only so much of it you can eat! -so we came up wi...
