Hi all, it's been all go now with the better weather we have had over the last week or two, as you can see from my update I've been able to get plenty done and the seed sowing has now started in earnest, regards Steve.

Hello retropants, Anne Thomas and garden_serf for your replies, the debris netting is very useful and much cheaper than the garden nets found elsewhere and is uv protected and very strong, the netting on my first cage has now been on for 4yrs and has withstood all the gales and elements very well. Hi Anne and thanks for your reply, yes I was lucky that when I took on my allotments we had vacancies and so I was able to get two full plots side by side, all the best for the season ahead, regards Steve.
