Hi Johnboy, I have been off the air for quite a while but I had some chat with you several years ago, hope all is well with you now. I hadn't thought of kitchen shops but I do remember seeing them there, I think they use them for making candles I will try that. I live in N. Somerset.

I have KG magazines, in files, from 6/96 to 5/02 free to a good home. I live in Somerset nr Weston-super mare if any one would like them.

I have lost all my leeks for the last 2 years and I'm pretty certain it was leek moth. The leeks go mushy as described but if you look closely you'll see tiny holes where the caterpillar has gone in. I'm told (on this forum) the best thing is to use a barrier such as enviromesh over the leek plot

Hi Sylvie, I'm afraid not. You don't mention where you are, but here on the south coast, leek moth has been a problem for about 3 -4 years now. I actually bought some enviromesh to cover my plants with this year, as I was fed up with losing a large amount of the crop and what was left being feeble ...

Leeks

I have grown leeks for years with no problem but for the last 2 years I have lost my entire crop to, what I'm fairly sure, is leek moth. Is it just me or what? :(
